Retreat… to the Hills! XI

We have only 15 spaces remaining!

You only need $50 to secure your spot! Balance due by September guild meeting, although small payments each month are okay.

Rainbow Cycle is letting us use a MULE to haul luggage (and people!) for the weekend, so no dragging luggage around anymore!

We have great classes being offered by some of our talented members:

Selvage project, Beginners Applique, Rag Baby Quilt, Freddy’s Morans girls, Hawaiian Applique & purse organizer

June Guild Meeting this Week!

Boy the month has gone by quickly!  It is already time for this month’s guild meeting — Thursday, June 23rd.  Although we are sad that we will not be hearing from Cynthia Regone this month as planned, we are very excited to see Men’s Night Out, and hear from the male members of our guild.  If you haven’t taken time to read this month’s newsletter, please pull it up from the newsletter page here on this site.  So, plan on having a great time at the guild meeting this month, bring a little pocket change to spend as Sew-n-Sew will be our vendor, and if you want to catch a little dinner before the meeting, join fellow members at Marketplace Grill around 4:45-5:00.  (Don’t forget!  We’ll be in the convention center this month.)

Sew On and Sew Forth – June 7, 2011

Well, your new board is hard at work.  Yesterday they met for the first time.  Thanks so much to past-president Adele Atha for attending the meeting to help with our transition.  Please be patient with us as we move new people into the positions.  Please check out the right sidebar for a list of your new officers and their contact information.

We have some unfortunate news…Cynthia Regone has had a family emergency and will not be able to travel to be with us for the June meeting and workshop.  If you were scheduled to attend the workshop, you should be hearing from Barb Hamernik or Therese Ramsey (new program chair) about your refund.  Therese is hard at work to plan something wonderful for us!

Get out your calendar and mark down Saturday, July 30th, for our annual Baby Quilt Workshop.  Remember that this was postponed from February when we were having such bad weather.  It has been scheduled on a Saturday so that everyone that works has the opportunity to participate all day as well.  It will be held at Ozarks Electric in Fayetteville, 3641 Wedington Drive.  Look for an article in this month’s newsletter with all of the details, such as time and directions.

Calico Cut-Ups is opening up a silk workshop by Debbie Maddy to non-members.  The workshop will be held on June 28th and the cost is $20.  If you are interested, please contact Jeannene White:  jvwhite101@cox.net

Looking forward to seeing each one of you at this month’s guild meeting on Thursday, June 23rd.  Please note that the meeting will be held in the Convention Center instead of in the hotel.

Hope that you are staying cool and getting lots of stitching done!
