Ann Hazelwood, a noted author and lecturer, will be the speaker at the Aug. 22 QUILT meeting. Her topic will be red and white quilts. Her books include the novels, The Basement Quilt and The Potting Shed Quilt, 100 Sweet Treats by & for Quilters and 100 Things to Know if you Own A Quilt. Hazelwood has been recognized as Small Business Person of the Year, Retailer of the Year and the Sacajawea Award for historic preservation. She was presented with the Lifetime Civic Award from the St. Charles, Mo., Chamber of Commerce.
Ann will teach a half-day workshop on fabric and quilt dating on Aug. 23, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Washington County Extension Office on the Washington County Fairgrounds. Cost is $25. Contact Therese Ramsey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
