2014 Airing of the Quilts

This year’s Airing of the Quilts is coming up this month — Thursday, May 22, 6:00pm.   The Airing will be held again at the home of Loneta Blevins in Rogers.  See Map Here.  Please bring as many quilts as you would like to display:  something you have done, family quilts, or treasures you have found.  Be sure to bring a sheet or blanket or a piece of plastic to put under your quilt to protect it from the fence.  We will have a potluck picnic, so bring a favorite dish to share.  Don’t forget the serving utensil as necessary.  Bring a chair to sit in.   Paper goods will be provided, but bring your own eco-friendly plate and utensils if you desire.  Port-a-potty has been ordered and will be on site.  Don’t forget your camera or phone.  There will be wonderful pictures to take!  Bring a friend or two.  It will be a great introduction to our guild.

April Program

Joan Gould of Fayetteville, a former nurse who works on historic preservation projects, will speak to the April meeting of Quilters United in Learning Together.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. April 24 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2898 S. 48th St., in Springdale. A social time begins at 6:30p.m.

Committee Chairs needed

Diane Crandell, the quilt show chair for the 2015, is looking for members to to chair certain committees and get things organized for the show.  There is still a year to go, so there is plenty of time and nothing is “under the gun” at this point.  Please see the list of chairs still needed.  If you don’t feel that you have the time or the skills for the committees needed, please note the names of the chairs of certain committees and volunteer to help them out with their committee’s tasks.  Let’s all chip in and make this the best show to date.  See committee chair list here.
