It’s a long time between now and October 7, so if you have misplaced your papers, below are a few important links for this retreat.
WHAT’S NEW FOR THIS YEAR?
A Mule and Trailer To Help Move Your Things Back and Forth!!!
Rainbow Cycle & Marine, with 3 locations in Northwest Arkansas, has been good enough to sponsor our retreat this year with the use of a Mule & Trailer. The Mule is a 4-seater ATV with a pickup bed. You can unload your sewing equipment at the Education Building as usual, then move your vehicle to the parking lot where you can unload your luggage.
A Popcorn Machine!!!
First Security Bank will be “loaning” us their popcorn machine (and kernels) for the weekend! Yay!
MOVIES!!
And speaking of popcorn, we will hopefully have a movie or two available in the dining hall after the evening meal and after any classes. There is no sign up, it’s a come and go as you please, and some relaxing time for hand work… or not.
CLASSES!!
We have a few classes scheduled right now. If you’re interested in teaching for Retreat, let me know asap so I can get you on the list. The class must be quilting related.
SAVE YOUR SELVAGES:
Kathy Garringer is going to be conducting a class on selvages.
If it won’t interfere with the design of your quilt top, would you please save your selvages for our retreat? Kathy says best size cut is 1-1/2 inches wide by however long it is.
You can bring your selvages to the guild meetings and leave them with me.
