Mystery Experts to Speak to QUILT

Mystery quilt experts Theresa Ward and Sharon Lorfing will present a program on mystery quilts at the Jan. 24 meeting of Quilters United in Learning Together.
Ward and Lorfing have each quilted for over 20 years. Ward is an award winning long-arm quilter and teacher and Lorfing has worked and taught in quilt shops in the Kansas City area over the last 10 years. In 2002, they started hosting a mystery quilt lock-in annually and designing their own patterns for it. Ward does most of the design work while Lorfing writes the pattern instructions.
Their patterns proved popular so they started Quilt Patterns by Wing Designs and now offer patterns for sale.
The guild meeting begins at 7 p.m. and will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2898 S. 48th St. in Springdale.
Ward and Lorfing will lead a mystery quilt class at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 25. Cost is $35. For more information contact Therese Ramsey at threrese.ramsey@gmail.com
