Quilt Congress Breakout Session Details

Here is the list of breakout sessions for Quilting with the Stars/Quilt Congress 2017:
Embellishment Frenzy: Taught by Margie Langanke & Barb Hancock. Enjoy a trunk show by two long-time quilters who use beading and embroidery to make show stopping quilts. (I’m not an embellisher and I LOVE to see the the work of these two ladies. And it almost makes me want to embellish my quilts.)
Fabric Coil Bowls: Taught by Roxanne Birchard. Demo of how to create bowls, baskets and about any vessel out of clothesline and fabric scraps. (I’ve had this class, and can I just say “Christmas presents!” Fun!)
Know Modern Quilting!: Taught by Elizabeth Ray. Multimedia presentation about the history and characteristics of modern quilts, including a trunk show of fabulous quilts. (Elizabeth is president of the local Modern Quilt Guild and a modern maven. I assure you, you will leave her workshop informed and inspired.)
Design Your Own Quilts: Taught by Paula Mariedaughter. Tips from a creative designer on how to design your own quilts using a portable design wall. (Paula’s work is amazing. What she puts together to make show-stopping quilts, well you won’t believe it. And you will be inspired.)
Textile Collage: Taught by Lila Rostenberg. Trunk show and demo of small, whimsical collages using bits and pieces of vintage textiles, crochet, lace and ephemera. (Know all those crocheted doilies your grandma left you? Don’t throw them in the garage sale. Save your history. Lila will show you how.)
Gadget Girl: Taught by Denise Gelinas. Demonstration of the latest gadgets on the market with ideas on how to use them in new and unique ways. (Denise’s workshops are VERY popular. If you are a gadget freak, you don’t want to miss this,
